Year 11: Start here.
Find out about jobs you might like and the entry requirements and routes in. Explore the options you can choose at 16.
1. Register or sign in on Careerpilot and you can save all your choices to your Career Tools.
Qualifications2. In 'Start with you' (on home page) do the Job Sector Quiz, or look at 'Start with a subject' and see where a subject you like could lead.
Complete the Skills Profile or redo if you have done it before. Add some of your own examples (useful when you are applying later).
Go to Qualifications and tag the ones you are interested in and add your predicted grades.
3. Explore Choices at 16 and decide which one or two might be for you. You might want to start looking at Choices at 18 too.
4. Use the Find a Provider to see which schools and colleges are near you and what they offer, tick any of interest in ‘list view’. You may also look for live apprenticeships vacancies and degree courses using the course or apprenticeship search.
5. In the ‘Plan your next steps’ section, add an action point to Career Tools of something you will do.
