Pathway to Bath - Year 12

A digital programme

Pathway to Bath is one-year programme for students under-represented in Higher Education to develop key skills needed for university and beyond. Over a few months students work in an online community with university students and staff to undertake their own research project. They can take part in exciting employability workshops offered in partnership with Santander.  If successful in their project students can get an alternative offer when applying to Bath.

Pathway is designed to fit around a busy A level schedule - it does not take up more than one hour/week and students are well suppported by our staff and current undergraduate e-mentors. We offer Pathway in a wide range of subjects such as Business, Engineering, Social Sciences, Languages and Sciences, please see the website for a full list.

                                                  

Discover Bath - Year 12

A residential programme

Discover Bath is a blended learning programme which will give students a real understanding of life at university. Over a few weeks students work in an online community with university students and staff and then visit the University where they experience first year study at Bath. Students undertake a small piece of work and if successful students can
get an alternative offer when applying to Bath.     


Ask Bath - Years 10-13

Ask Bath is an online chat service for students from Years 10-13
offering academic peer support, information about university
applications and insight into life at university. It offers instant
messaging for students via a secure platform enabling them to link up
with an E-Mentor whenever and where ever they want, for as short or long
a time as they like.

Step into Success - Year 13

An online application support programme

Step into Success is a free, online programme which supports Year 13  students through the journey of making a university application. You  will have the opportunity to meet other students applying for your  subjects, chat to undergraduates already enrolled on courses at Bath and get help with your application


Access to Bath - applicants 

An online programme for any eligible student who has applied to study at Bath

Access to Bath is an online programme that will prepare students for  study and life at Bath. The transition to university can be a  challenging time for any student, and we want to help support this  process. Any qualifying under-represented student who applies to the  University of Bath will be given an alternative offer for their  course(s) if they complete the programme.  Through this programme students will find out what being a student at  Bath is like and will develop their skills, confidence and knowledge to  help them make a smooth transition to the University.

Be Ready Webinars - Students Years 10-13, parents, teachers

Every Thursday we have a suite of webinars focused on supporting students, parents and teachers with information and skills sessions. There is something for everyone and we continue to build the programme.

Teacher Champion Programme

 The Teacher Champion Programme is a free, online programme runs from March-July, providing regular online sessions, bringing together professionals working in UK state schools and colleges who share a passion for championing access to higher education for underrepresented students. The programme also includes an opportunity to attend our on-campus Teacher Conference. It is available for professionals from UK state schools or colleges.
