Year 10: Exploring post 16 options and securing work experience

Lesson 1: Getting ready for post 16 options and Lesson 2: Work Experience can be delivered as stand-alone lessons and include a recording of a member of the Careerpilot Team delivering the lesson should you wish to use this option.

Download Year 10 lesson 1 - a stand-alone lesson to explore post 16 options
This lesson supports students to explore post 16 options and future careers using LMI. The lesson is available as a Power Point with notes for teachers and is also available as a video recorded lesson from a link on slide 2. The video takes the class through the slides and directs the teacher and students to the tasks they need to do and provides timings. The teacher in the class will need to have a copy of the presentation with the lesson notes.

Download Year 10 lesson 2 - a stand-alone lesson to help get ready for work experience
The lesson includes a link to a video recording and is called 'Work experience - why do it, what to think about and how to find one?'
The lesson will take 50-60 minutes and students will consider what they want from work experience, what skills they have to offer, how to look for a placement and how to write a CV - which will also enable them to download a CV Template.
