Reporting Zone - Get access

Access to the Careerpilot Reporting Zone

Requesting a password for the Careerpilot Reporting Zone - do I have free access?

Free access to the Careerpilot four zones, which includes the Reporting Zone and the Pathway Planner is available in many areas in the South of England.

If you are a state secondary school in Cornwall, Devon, Somerset, Bath and North East Somerset, Bristol, North Somerset, South Gloucestershire, Gloucestershire, Wiltshire, Swindon or Berkshire then access to all 4 zones of Careerpilot and the Pathway Planner will be free.

The reason the site is free-to-use in these regions is because a number of universities, Uni Connect projects and Careers Hubs pay subscriptions to fund this.

In 2023 - 24, the Pathway Planner triage tool, which assesses the career guidance needs of your students, will be included in all subscriptions, if you are a school with free access or are a school paying your own subscriptions.

Outside this area your school can purchase an annual subscription which will be for Careerpilot and the Pathway Planner at a cost of £700 for 23-24.

Colleges:

If you are a further education college in Cornwall, Devon, Somerset, Bath and North East Somerset, Bristol, North Somerset, South Gloucestershire, Gloucestershire, Wiltshire, then access to all 4 zones of Careerpilot and the Pathway Planner will be free.

If you are a further education college in Swindon or Berkshire then the four zones of Careerpilot will be free but you will need to pay an annual subscription of £400 to access the Pathway Planner.

The reason the site is free-to-use in this region is because a number of universities, Uni Connect projects and Career Hubs pay subscriptions to fund this.

Outside these areas your college can purchase an annual subscription which will be for Careerpilot and the Pathway Planner at a cost of £1000 per annum.

How to subscribe if you do not have free access

If your school/college is not in this area then you can find out how to subscribe and get access to all four Careerpilot Zones and the Pathway Planner here.

The Reporting Zone admin password also gives full access to the Adviser Zone

You will need an admin password to access information in the Reporting Zone and all of our resources in the Adviser Zone. To make the most of reports, your students will need to have registered/be signed in and be 'tagging' the things they are interested in - these will be saved for them in their Career Tools report but will also be available as collated group and individual reports for you to see.

The reports will show you the choices young people are making about jobs, qualification and providers and their results from any Careerpilot quizzes that have completed e.g. job sectors, Skills Profile, subjects they love, etc.

Remember - students will need to have registered (top right of home page) and completed the activities in the student site by 'tagging' the choices, jobs, etc. they are interested in. They can do this by clicking on the + sign that is top right of most pages. They can also do this by clicking on any of the Career Tools.

Your admin login will also give you access to all the resources in the Adviser Zone including five career lessons for every year group, 20 minute tutor time career sessions, Hot Job posters, activities for subject teachers, etc.

If you are using the Pathway Planner triage tool you will access all results, data reports and tracking tools through the Reporting Zone.

How to request access to the Reporting Zone:

To request access please send us an email at careerpilot@bath.ac.uk

We will contact you as soon as possible with details of the data sharing agreement that you will need to sign.

Following completion of the data sharing agreement your school will receive a password to the system and details about how to manage the Reporting Zone, including how to access free training, how to give other staff access to the site and how to set up groups e.g. tutor groups.

To use the new Pathway Planner you will need Reporting Zone access:

Pathway Planner Triage Tool - if you have requested access to the Pathway Planner and received your getting started training you will also need access to the Careerpilot Reporting Zone so that you can access all Pathway Planner reports and data.

Reports can be downloaded

Reports can be downloaded to Excel.

There are various ways to view reports, by individual or by group. Career Advisers, tutors, etc. can write action points they agree with the student and also add a report e.g. the career adviser report can be added to the students record, which is visible to the student and any other staff member with access to that student.
