Career services across the South West

The career service websites provide useful information and advice for young people, including, in some areas, detailed information about job sectors and online advice from local careers advisers.

Some local areas also provide an online prospectus of the courses available in schools and colleges for 16 year olds. Look for a link to the local prospectus from the website for the Career Service near to where you live.

CXS West

 

Bath & North East Somerset, Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire - Connexions West.

Connexions West can help you think about your future and make plans.

It works with young people aged 13-19. Those with learning difficulties and/or disabilities may be supported up to the age of 25.

We manage a service for all young people, giving 13-19 year olds independent impartial information, advice, guidance and practical help in preparing for adult and working life.

Glos

 

Gloucestershire - Youth Support Services

The Connexions Service in Gloucestershire is now called the Youth Support Service (YSS). They have a website called 'What Now Glos'. The website includes an 'Information & Support' section will give you information on a wide range of issues, including where to get help.

Taunton, Yeovil and Frome - Connect South West.

Connect South West Ltd provides confidential, impartial, high quality Careers Information, Advice and Guidance to young people age 13-19 years old (up to 25 for those with a learning difficulty or disability). 

The service can be accessed at our local centres in Taunton, Yeovil and Frome, in schools and colleges, via e-guidance, telephone and outreach centres.

Wiltshire - Connexions

Connexions Wiltshire provides advice, information and guidance (IAG) on careers and learning for all young people aged 13-19 via schools, colleges and Connexions centres.
